Making Friends With Our Emotions - a 5 Week Course
Mondays, March 9 - April 6;  6:30 – 8:00 pm

Our emotions can be a great source of wisdom, informing our thinking process, providing a larger perspective, and helping us to connect authentically to the world around us. In this 5 week mindfulness class we will explore how to relate skillfully to our emotions using the traditional practices of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity. Each class will include sitting practice, guided meditations, a short talk, and discussion. This class is for people who have some meditation experience.

Course fee for all five sessions:  $95.

Instructor:  Liz Korabek-Emerson

Liz Korabek-Emerson, MFA is a certified mindfulness teacher, wellness coach and owner of Korabek Training. She has been designing and leading mindfulness based programs for individuals and organizations since 2012, including Maine Medical, Portsmouth Hospital, Liberty Mutual and Riverwoods Retirement Community.  She is an adjunct faculty member for NHTI’s Mindful Communications program.  Learn more about Liz at www.korabektraining.comLiz leads by-donation meditation sessions at GateWay on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 7:30am.
