Explore how Qigong & Acupuncture can enhance your health as you transition into fall

Acupuncture and Qigong (Chi Kung) are bound together in Chinese medicine. Acupuncture uses hands on treatments to stimulate healing, relieve pain, and promote physical health. Qigong (sometimes called "acupuncture with the mind.") uses movement and meditative practices to build, circulate and focus Qi throughout the body and mind. Qi (pronouned Chee) is the Chinese word for life force, the unseen energy that flows through and sustains all living things.

Both Acupuncture and Qigong follow the Five Elements Theory, a Chinese medicine framework that connects seasons, organs, emotions, diet, and movement. In this unique workshop, Dr Krystal Couture and Qigong Master Bill Buckley will offer a combined Qigong and Acupuncture session to help people transition from the Late Summer, Spleen season to the Fall, Lung season.

Workshop Content

Krystal will lead a discussion of the characteristics of the elemental energies of the Late Summer/Spleen and Fall/Lung seasons.

Bill will lead a Qigong session focusing on movements targeting these energetic systems and their associated organs and channels.

Krystal will end the session offering a personal acupuncture treatment aimed at improving the volume and movement of the energy in these channels.

What you will receive

  • A brief overview of the energetic systems, how they are affected by the changing of the seasons and their place n the 5 Elements Theory.

  • An introduction to basic Qigong principals and how they are applied to build long term health in these energetic systems.

  •  A set of exercises you can use to help keep your energetic systems, and their associated channels and organs, stretched and rejuvenated throughout the seasons.

  • A targeted acupuncture treatment designed to stimulate the energy in these systems.
